More than just straps!
It is in order to protect our maple trees as best as possible, and more precisely their bark, that our straps and headlines were created. The bark acts as a natural protection to ensure the tree's health and growth. Unfortunately, too often the wire and plastic tubing generally used to maintain the mainline causes injuries to the bark, and therefore harms the tree's development.
Why polyester?
Polyester is recognized for its great strength and durability. It is severe weather, mold and UV resistant, which explains its use in the marine industry, road transportation and in many other places where it is exposed to water, snow, salt, dirt, etc.
Available in four lengths (3, 4, 5 and 6 feet) and in two widths (1.75 inches and 2.5 inches), our straps blend perfectly with the contour of the tree, even if it is not perfectly round. They can also be used on small trees, which is difficult with plastic tubing. The metal ring we use makes it possible to distribute the tension over a much larger surface than the wire and the plastic tubing.
Great news, there was a solution.... right in our trash cans!
In collaboration with the Niedner company, our straps and headlines made of polyester are made with fire hose waste. Our process therefore allows a significant amount of materials to avoid landfills…
Protecting our maple trees and avoid burying in landfills hundreds of meters of polyester rejects it's simply ECO-logical!
Headline
The headline is quick and easy to set up and can be taken down just as easily t does not require any pieces of wood nor plastic tubing. Three lengths are available: 6, 8 and 10 feet. To install the headline, you will need a metal rod (included) and a splice (not provided).
New installation or
repair… it's up to you!
It is possible to set up new lines with our products, but also to replace supports that have become too small over time and have
caused a bark injury or are likely to do so.
